Boikgantsho's arrival

Post by Sboza on Mon 10 Aug 2009 - 10:05

I have been meaning to post but hardly gets time-I still wonder where you all get the time-or maybe there's something I'm not doing right.

Okay...
Thursday the 25th, I went to have my hair done, then went to DR for appointment.
The scan showed my girl weighing 3.4kg (Jonet I don't know if his is better), and I wasn't dillating, baby hadn't engaged (according to DR) and an alarming issue was-she was running out of amniotic fluid. So we decided to give the DR his way, yes planned C-Sec.
He told us to go the hospital the next day at 10 for 12 cutting.
Got hom rechecked the hospital bags and all.
Couldn't sleep-was anxious, scary and had all these mixed feelings.
Morning came-was told not to eat but I was damn hungry-I ate at 6.
at the hospital:
The cathedrer sp was inserted by the sister before I was taken to theatre but I felt no pain
The dr that does the injections explained to me the 2 different ones and advicd me to take the spinal.
After 8 tries, they got it and that was ouch...
It worked immedietely, started feeling cold and tingly on the toes then all the way up.
oh yes-I was vomitting during the procedure (blame it on that food)
12:15 my girl was here crying so loud, paed brought her to me and ges what she knew my voice, the moment I spoke she kept quiet, then hubby took her-pictuures were taken-then she left with hubby and the Dr.
Yes the sawing took about 20 minutes and all I wanted was to see my girl again.
Hubby came back with more pics-and I wanted the baby not pics.
Was taken to recovery room and was forced to sleep while the baby was in an incubator for regulating her body temp-I couldn't.
Then they brought her around 5pm... I immedietely breastfed her and she was topped up by formular as well.
Dr gave me some pills to help with milk in boobs and it worked like a charm.
Stats: she got 9/9 on apgar...she weighed 3.5kg (Jonet see), head 36cm, length 53cm...
She got very sick at home...which is why I haven't been able to log to OPM...
She was suffering from panick attacks. She would stop breathing, turn blue, be stiff like a doll...
On the major one-we went to hospital at 4 in the morning-they chacked and saw nothing.
but realised that the pills I was given for pain were causing this, they were too strong.
I immidietely stopped taking them and got her prayed for, she's well now and I am enjoying her.
Just can't get the routine thingie going and she's used to being carried from that time she was sick.
Please help-how can I sort this dillema...
PS: sorry for long post

So glad to hear from you! I'm glad your baby is safe and sound (by the way, Nicole had exactly the same babygro and she loved it!). Join us in the mommy lounge, i'm sure one of the mommies could help with the carry-issue!
