Please pray for my dad!

Hi ladies,

As you may remember, my dad had a mini stroke on fathers day, all the tests came back clear, except for the cholesterol test, the last couple of weeks my dad complained about tiredness and he was out of breath most of the time. They referred him to a cardiologist, and this morning they inserted a catheter to check his heart arteries, they found the main artery that goes around the heart is completely damaged and blocked! so they need to replace it! also another artery that joins the aorta and supply allot of the other smaller arteries & veins also needs to be replaced! They will do a dbl or 3dbl heart bypass this week!! in the meantime they inserted a "pump" of some sort, to keep the arteries open. The Dr said its a miracle that he did not suffer a fatal heart attack! Dad is in ICU, not sure when they will operate! most probably Wednesday! They asked us not to phone him, because he is very upset! My oldest sister phoned, and said my dad is cried so much that he could hardly speak! Spoke to my mom, they are waiting for the Dr, she is calm, but sounds so lost & fragile! I am scared!! My dad never had a op in his life! I cant imagine him lying there..

Praying all goes well with the op and your dad will be up and about in no time.

Oh dear Lilly.... everyone has prayed so hard for my family during our ordeal and it is now time for me to return the strength. I will be praying for your father and your family at this time. Just remember these surgeons are amazing with these heart operations so your dad should be just fine. Keep us posted as to when the op will be so that we can pray for him then too.

Oh no shame Lilly, I am so sorry for your dad and family to have to go through this. But Sheena is right, Surgeons are so good now days.

thanx girls! briefly spoke to my mom, Dads artery that feeds the left side of the heart should be the size of a macaroni and its like piece of thread! so he is also on oxygen, because the left side of his heart gets very little blood & oxygen! still waiting to hear when they will operate! I just pray that they find arteries in his legs first time, cause app sometimes cut both legs from bottom to top to find the perfect artery! I am sooo tired! cant imagine how my mom must feel! just so glad that my brother is there to support her! Will keep you updated!!! xx
