Also one of the new ones
Hi Ladies!
Here's a little about myeself.
I am turning 30 on coming Monday (14-9) and have been married for 6, almost 7 years. We have been trying to get pregnant since we got married... well not actively trying but if it were to happen, we would have been delighted. It was only last year that we went to see an infertility specialist in Bloemfontein to help us. No luck so far.
I was diagnosed with PCOS and is insulin resistant, and is still overweight. The first two is still an issue, but I am busy getting rid of the weight. Have lost 14,6 kg since July this year.
My husband and I would love to have kids. But I am so happy to have found this group! This is a blessing to talk to other woman who also TTC.
Thanks for this group.
And it would be great if you could put me on your prayer list!
Anel

Hi Anel
Welcome. You and I suffer from the same thing as do quite a few others in the TTC lounge. I hope that we can offer support and prayers as the other girls have done for us. Nice to have you!

Re: Also one of the new ones
Wow!!! I really do feel welcome now! You all are so kind.
Ilze, I have seen a few drs in Bloem, all at the infertility clinic at Universitas hospital. But the one I am seeing in Oct is Prof Wessels. He has a private clinic, Femspes (i think) and then he also works at the Hospital. He is a wonderful man!!! I can give you his nr if you like. You will just need a ref from your dr.
To all you other ladies that would like to know how I lost the weight...
I am on Metformin and I believe that this is helping me to loose the weight (keeping my insulin in check). Then I joined Weighless. This is a wonderful program. They changed their stuff alot. I joined a few years ago, but I got so confused as to what to put together and what not to eat, so I stopped. Now their stuff is all LOW GI and they guide you all the way. The first two weeks are your rebalance weeks. The first week you get your first menu and what you are allowed to eat (and a shopping list - this is wonderful to me!!!!!). The second week you get your second menu and then you can combine your 1 and 2 weeks. Week three the same story. Then week 4 you can relax over the weekends for a few meals and then week 5 you get your whole list of foods. They set small goals for you to reach and it is not a 10kg or 15kg. It is like 4,2 and 8,6. The support is wonderful and you have alot to eat. I went to weigh in yesterday and one of the new ladies asked if she can eat less than what you are required to. One of my meals for instance is 140g brown rice, 70g lean mince and 100g butternut, 100g green beans and 100g broccoli/cauliflower. You also get a fat to add in the form of salad dressing or a bit of butter. This is a lunch example. 2cc +1 prot+2 - 3 Veg + 1 fat
Oh, and have just reached the 15kg mark. I have lost 15,2kg in 13 weeks. And I have never gained. The least that I lost for a week was 200g. I pround myself in not gaining once.
I would recommend Weighless to all PCOS suffering woman. This thing really works and the best thing for me is I dont get hungry!!! You have enough to eat. You eat breakfast, a 10h00 snack, lunch, 14h00 snack, 18h00 snack and then dinner. And you drink water inbetween.
Hope this helps you all to to take heart and know that you can loose weight!
