Ovulation Question?

Okay so here is the question. Based on the last two months my cycle has been 36 days.. so when the hell do I ovulate based on that pathetically long cycle and provided it stays like that for this month if I ovulate at all.

I don't understand all this stuff!

Im not much of a boffin with these things - as Ive always been a strictly 28 day girl... but go to the site www.babycentre.co.uk. On the left hand side they have an ovulation calendar... Input your info - and they give you alot of info regarding fertile dates for a 6 month period... It will help you track when you should have your period, when you should ovulate - and when you d ofall preggies - it gives your due date...

Tks. I will go have a look. Most of those calendars only go up to 34 days and I thought of getting those ovulation kits but would not know when to test. I have been leaving it to fate for the last 15 months but suppose I better get the whip cracking if I want to still be walking when my kids go to highschool!

You take the 36days and count 14days back... then it will be around D21 or D22... like mine!

Go to www.yourdays.com and register there... you can see when you ovulating on there as well.

I am a 36 day cycle just like you. I worked it out with my Dr - 36 divide by 2 so therefore ovulation is from day 18 - 26 (I always stretched it out). The other thing we discovered was that maybe my CM was rejecting DH sperm, so to assist us in that regard we started using Preseed a natural PH formula that disguises as natural moisture and one that will not harm the little suckers! ( Just a suggestion though.

I spent a whole year at a fertility clinic and I found out some months I was not even ovulating, You can usually feel when you are ovulating, you get a period like pain but no period about 2 weeks after your period.
YOu can also get a ovulation kit, it looks like a lipstick and you lick it every morning, if your saliva looks a certain way then you are ovulating.

Yip when my cycle was all upside down it was also 14 days back. Good Luck!!!

I bought the little microscope goodie from a chemist. You put drop of saliva on it first thing in the morning, if it ferns, you ovulating!!!! If it doesnt, you aint!! Also apparently one of best ways is to check your cervical mucus! Sounds grose I know, but there are certain days in the month where you will have a clear discharge. Apparently when its the thinest, like egg white, thats when you are most fertile !!!!

I have PCOS and read the other day that even though my Cervical mucus changes, I might still not ovuate!!! How depressing is that, because I have BD like mad on my ferning days with no results!!!!

From reading others blogs though, looks like we just have to keep on trying and when the time is right, it will happen!!!

Hang in there. I know it can be hard but thats all we can do!!!!
